Lights on but no fan, no mist

The humidifier has been working fine but turned it on a couple days ago, lights came on but no fan, no mist. Recently cleaned and put in new filter and it was working without any issues. Tanks are filled with water, unit is sitting on level floor. I unplugged it, turned it off for a day, tried higher setting...no luck. All the lights come on. Thanks

sorry I posted this in the wrong place: "fiantella...can you please explain to me how to remove the humidstat. Do I have to unscrew parts from inside the motor caseing or can it be pried without damage from the top? thanks"

Remove side tanks. Remove casing (tower). No need to unscrew aything, just lift it. You swill see the 3 slots underneath the restart button. Blow it with a hair dryer for 5 minutes. The green light should turn on.

Check the thermo protector fuse at the bottom near the heating pad. The fuse must not be open circuit. If it is, replace it. You can order the fuse for $1 from eBay or Amazon. Good luck!

"Take the humidistat out of the humidifier and look for the 3 slits below the restart button, take a hair dryer and send some warm air into those slits for 5 minutes. That usually recalibrates the humidifier."

SOURCE: Fan works, but no mist and water isn't going away

Turn on furnace and urn up humidistst to call for it. Tube from solenid to the filter should have water running if water is up to the valve and solinoid is opening . It should be warm to your touch., Using an ohm meter you can sheck the coil it shuold have continuity.

SOURCE: Honeywell HCM-305T Spits droplets rather than creating a mist.

this has nothing to do with any sort of nozzle as there isn't one on this device. As Skybum said, the "moat" overflows into the fan and then gets spit out as the fan turns. The device is wonderful at saturating floors but unfortunately not the air!

This is also not a consistent event. The humidifier will work for some time and then all of a sudden I wake up with a soaking wet floor.

Humidifier not working

Mine is a SUL495 Filter Free unit and worked fine last year and the first couple of days recently, but I'm having the same issue, motor running , no mist, and trying to talk to someone @ in customer service today is a joke, I've cleaned everything but still no luck, I paid $40.00 for this unit in Jan. 2011 and have about two weeks until the warranty runs out, and the other wonderful thing is the nearest service center is about 50 miles away, I may wait until Monady to try to speak to someone, but I probably won't like the answers.

When this happened to me, I took the tank into the bathroom to look at the bottom and then I tried to turn the knob and it wasn't all the way tight. After I tightened it, I put it back on the base and the mist started right away.

I have this same problem. And cool mist humidifiers DO produce mist. I have had my humidifier for a while now (6 years) and have never had any problems. Family Care cold mist humidifer

cool mist humidifiers don't put out any mist. only the warm ones do. now if you put your hand over the area where it's coming out for about 2 minutes and take it away your hand should feel damp. almost clammy. if it feels like that the unit is working fine. so your not doing anything wrong. if you have any other concerns please let me know.

No mist

i would try cleaning the coils for the heat portion. if they are to scally that could be one reason why it's not making any mist. but if it looks pretty clean or if you have cleaned it and it's still not making any mist then it's something internal. now if your under warranty still that's a good thing. you can always call the manufacturer and they can replace theunit for you under warranty . if you have any other questions please let me know.
