Question about SanDisk Sansa c250 (2 GB) MP3 Player (SDMX7-2048)

My stupid head phone jack!!! plz help

(sorry if there are typos, my keyboard kinda sucks right now) Ok so no matter what kind of headphones I put into my Sansa c250, only the right one works. The only solution is to pull out the plug slightly, but then it keeps falling out. I have tried many typesof headpones, and then used then with another mp3 player, and that didnt happen. I want to fully enjoy my music, but i dont want to keep having the headphones fall out every two seconds. Sometimes i get them both to work, but the left side will keep cutting out. my mom has the same type of mp3 player and hrs doesnt have that problem. can someone help? im getting mad at the fact that i cant fully enjoy my music

Re: my stupid head phone jack!!! plz help

First, it is fixable so you can relax a little.

Secondly, is it still under warrentee? If it is, you need to send it in to be fixed so you don't invalidate the warrentee OK?

Third, if it is not under warrentee, you need to find someone who is knowledgeable about fixing electronics and can fix it for you.  I suggest going to you local TV/Radio repair shop because they will know how to repair it and will also have the parts.  It shouldn't cost much.

Fourth, what you need to do is take the unit apart, and replace the jack which is soldered on a PC board.  You need to find the correct "jack".  It has to be the same size and type so it will fit.  You can sometimes find them at "Radio Shack" or large electronic stores.

All this wil take some time so be patient, you will be enjoying your music in no time.

Good Luck

Left side of earphones don't work

I have the same problem as well. you just have to take the headphones out, and not put them in all the way. just put them in partway, wait until you can hear out of both.

Only one headphone works

I would find out if you're in warranty. One headphone working is a hardware issue - if you were to insert another headphone set into your player, you would find that the next headset would only get sound out of one ear. Unless you live in Philadelphia, I would go ahead and call Sandisk to see if you are eligible to get that player replaced. I work for another large consumer electronics company, and we definitely give out replacements for the one- headphone-only issue. Sorry to hear that the player went out on you - good luck on the replacement.

Need the sansa c250 driver; won't charge from xp

this player really sucks ... and believe ... i love sandisk players... my solution for this was the following:
i ve got a wall charger (for itself it almost did nothing)
i put my player to dial and FM station (like i was listenning to a radio)
waited some seconds and connected my charger.

it appears that the player freezes but after 2 to 4 hours it get full charged.

before that i tried everything and nothig was solving the problem.
