Question about GE 7-5295 Undercounter DC /Radio Combo - WHITE CD Player

GES050 undercounter radio/cd player

The unit was installed two weeks ago. We could receive radio stations (AM and FM) during that time, then suddenly we can't get any radio stations, AM or FM, just static. The cd player works fine. We scanned for stations and the station numbers just fly by and never lock in. The remote works for the cd, on/off.

cannot get FM stations without static or interference from nearby stations - is there any way to improve antenna function?

i also have an under counter GE radio-cd player and yes the cord is the "antenna" but is there a way to add another antenna? Because we have to wrap the cord around the coffee grinder on the counter in front of the radio, very annoying. Any help would be welcome.

I have an under counter GE radio-cd player and in the last week an alarm goes off at 12 midnight. Happens every night. Have checked all the settings and don't see a solution. Any suggestions?

..just read about your reception/interference problems and, having lived through similar situations for some time — particularly with different weather conditions. The following solution has settled it all : wrap power cable around storage brackets at back of radio with a short length then wound around support posts (between radio and cupboard from which radio hangs), then run short length to power supply outlet. In my case this result comes after much experimentation with the length of unwapped power cord (including fully unwrapped and stretched out) and different patterns of winding around the support posts. This final result takes care of everything (better sound, no interference/loss-of-reception when moving around in the room or in front of the radio, weather has no effect, stations received that could not be before due to overlap by nearby, more powerful ones). I have only about 2 1/2 feet of cable running from the brackets at back of radio, then wound once around center support and half around right support to then go to wall and down to receptacle close by (I tried all kinds of combinations of unwrapped lengths and winding patterns around 1 to 3 posts)...individual cases may be different. so GOOD LUCK, 'cause the radio is great...!

I have one and the antenna seems to be the plug. I tested it with different lengths of wire unwrapped and it changes the reception. Also when I stand closer or farther away from the unit the reception sometimes changes. I hold the extra lenght of wire under the cabinet by using "command strip" wire hooks so they cannot be seen unless you underneath the cabinet itself.

How to turn radio on dell laptop?

There isn't an FM radio built into this unit. So maybe you are trying to get internet connected radio stations to play perhaps?

You can do a search for a program called a "radio Aggregator" which allows you to receive radio stations form all over the world. or you can just go to your favourite radio station an see if the stream live music over the web.

This is a radio station in England that I listen to via the internet from time to time, but most big radio stations stream these days.

My tao xm2go unit is transmitting a very weak fm signal to my car radio. I can barely hear the audio.

You likely need to directly connect. In most cases the FM transmitter is too week to broadcast through FM stations, and a direct connection will clear up your issue. It could be as simple as connecting via an Auxiliary cable or Cassette Adapter. If you don't have the ability to use one of those, you can get an Auxiliary Input Adapter. Another solution would be an external FM Transmitter, with a larger range.

No Sound on AM or SW

Hello
If the set receives FM signals without any problem, and only fails to receive AM signals, the IC [integrated circuit] used in it is faulty. The number of the IC used with your radio is CXA 1376AS. It is a replacable type IC, and can be bought from most of the electronic spare part shops at your town. If you want further details about its service manual, get me by Fixya. OK.

Am/fm radio stations not clear... I have the AM antenna attached... but there is no attachment for FM

First of all check for any nearby source of interference.....Move your unit away from all computers, fluorescent lights, neon lights, microwaves, cell phones, and cell phonemag-glass_10x10.gif chargers. These devises tend to produce noise in the medium frequency band, where AM radio is broadcast.
If the unit plugs into the wall with a nonpolarized plug (where both prongs are the same size), try reversing the plug inmag-glass_10x10.gif the outlet. Moving the plug to another outlet might help, too.
check for fault in the antenna lead, (common) or bad earth on the antenna to body
If you don't have an antenna connected to your FM receiver,With a receiver or tuner, connect a wire-loop or T-shaped dipole FM antenna to the back of your unit. Move the antenna until you get the cleanest signal. Use a signal-strength meter or display to gauge signal strength if your unit has one.
  • Step 2 If you're still not getting a good signal, try an indoor amplified antenna, which you'll find at an electronics store. Don't buy one unless you get a guarantee that you can return it for full credit if it doesn't solve your reception problems.
  • Step 3 If your signal is weak because you live a long way from the transmitter, install an outside antenna and mount it as high as is practical. If you're primarily interested in getting signals from one station or from a group of stations in one direction, get a directional antenna and point it toward the transmitters.
  • Step 4 If you're using a portable FM radio where the only antenna is the power cord, stretch the cord as straight as possible and experiment with positioning again.
  • Step 5 Temporarily switch to monaural mode to improve a weak signal on an FM receiver.

In my settings there is no fm transmitter selection available

As far as I know, there is no transmitter in a Sirius Radio. I had an XM, and there was no selection for fm stations. They just figure you can tune the car radio to any fm station, in case you want to listen to fm. Hope this helps, but refer to your manual for details about what the unit can do.

How do i install the xm receiver?

Yes, the unit should have a FM mode where you can use it to transmit the signal over your FM stereo. The unit should come with a FM transmitter and it should be in the instructions on how to install it. All you have to do then is make the unit play on the same station your radio is on.
