My Nokia 6085 will not send text messages, but saves them.

Hi the problem you are having is with your message center number all you need to do to solve this problem is contact your service provider and ask them to send you the correct settings to your phone, they will send you these settings via a text message that you just save and it then up dates your phone for you.
they wont charge for sending you the settings and this is the only way you can get your phone set up correctly.

call the customer service of your service provider ( AT&T,Vodafone,Verizon etc)....they will set up message center number on your phone , the one that you have might be incorrect...your mobile operator will send you sim updates that will refresh the settings ....and then you will get the text message options

the message center settings might be messed up. Bring it to your service provider, and they will fix it.

Have you contacted your carrier to see if you text messaging has been activated? If not that may be your problem because I don't have any problem sending or receiving text messages..

ok Go to Menu>Messaging>Message Settings>Text Messages>Message Centers>message center>Save.

and then try to text again
i had the same problem but then i did that and i then i could txt

get your nokia pc suit upgraded to the latest version. it allows you to save the messages on to ur PC as a back up. you cannot read them as text on ur PC.but can put them back to ur phone when required and can text them.

The problem might be with the msg centre no feeded in your message settings. It might have got deleted by mistake. Please rate the solution. Thank You

if you really, really, REALLY, want to clear the memory of every name/number you have ever sent a text to or whatnot,  you can reset your phone to factory settings, but that resets the settings, preferences, wallpapers, profiles, and everything else you have modified.

-phone
-restore factory setting
-security code 12345
If doenst work, i sgeest to go to service center. Need to be restored using BB5 box gadget. Thank you....
