Question about SanDisk Sansa c250 (2 GB) MP3 Player (SDMX7-2048)

1 Answer

No lit up screen or music

Ive had my sansa c250 for almost a year and ive loved it. i use it everyday and ive only had minor problems with it. This time it will not light the screen up or play music and gives no response even when i try to charge it. the square and menu will light up but nothing else will happen. This happened kinda randomly when i started listening to it in my pocket, the day before i had it in my thick coat pocket in a big rain storm but hardly any water got to it. the next day i started listening to it and it just went blank in the middle of a song. plz help me soon! i wanna listen to it again!

then where can i get a battery? its been like 1-2 weeks and nothing changed

  • jake7491 Nov 07, 2007

it says its s rechargable, reusable battery or something like that so we should be able to get a new battery for it

i finally got the back of the player off and looked at it

it has a lithium ion battery

what do i do with it? i removed it and put it back on but nothing happened, it wont do anything now, no light, i m going to go to the store and ask soon!

ok i put the battery back on properly

now it still does the menu light and sqaure light but no screen

same thing, i think something is wrong with our batteries

try to buy a lithium ion battery or ask a technician about it

i talked to a guy in target and he said that the screen wire might of got fried or something like that

i dont know if thats right because i was listening to it fine and it suddenly stopped the next day when it wasnt raining so idk

    ill check at radioshack sometime...

has anyone found a solution to this? I just purchased mine and used it once. I downloaded more music on it tonight and now nothing but a blue light over the menu buttons? It wont turn on or anything? Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Even I had same problem. When showed it to technical person, he told me that battery has fused off due to water.

I can hear music on my sansa e250 but i cant see the screen?

make sure you have headphones plugged in. Once your in the screen for music or radio turn the clear dial (that looks like a border but isn't) clockwise to turn the volume up.

Music transferred from internet to my sansa not good

Am not sure which of the 2 actions we did solved the problem...but we installed the CD that came with it (my daughter has a Sansa C260 and her CD was already installed in the computer and we thought I didn't have to install mine). But we resorted on installing mine too in case it would help with the problem, and then we re-loaded all the songs into my Sansa C250 at a slower pace, although I really don't know if the quicker pace did cause the problem. But now my Sansa C250 is now able to record any song correctly.

Refresh database

I had the "Refresh Database" problem with my C250, it just sat there after turning it on! However, the GOOD NEWS is, I corrected it! First I connected it to my PC, then FORMATTED the unit. This gave me an empty player that at least would turn on. Then I downloaded the Sansa "Updater" from the SanDisk website. After setting up the updater software, I connected the C250. It automatically checked for any new firmware, and loaded it into the player. After that I restarted the C250 and it again came up OK without any music loaded. The last thing I did was to load only 1.8 GB worth of music files. My take on the problem is that if you overload the memory, or interupt a file while loading, then the "datbase" function never gets done. I've had mine running for about a week now without problems! Hope it works for you too! <Good Luck> David

I need to know how to delete songs off my mp3/sansa sandisk c250

Open "My computer", then "Sansa c250 (E:)", find properties to show hidden files and a "Music" file (which is hidden) will appear. You can erase music directly from there.

HELP ME PLZ

That's a pretty weird problem. The only suggestion I can give you is to check to make sure the music you put on was 1) in mp3 or wav format and 2) if this is music you have purchased, to ensure you have the rights properly set to play the music
