A DELL PC OUT OF THE BLUE FAIL? OR BOUGHT IT DEAD?

jUST 17 YEARS OLD,
wow it ran every day for 17 year and failed today 2022?????
no monitor told it too has power button and cable.(video)
the power button glows and has green or amber.
and can flash.

"amber light - Blinking amber indicates a problem with the power
supply inside the computer. If the system cannot boot and there is
a solid amber light, this indicates a problem with the system board

first off the COIN cell battery is dead now.
no PC runs right with that dead. ever.

Hi, on most Dells a flashing amber light on the power button indicates a problem with the PSU or a short on the main power rail, if this is the case you should have 2 flashing lights as well, 1 & 3.

Hi,
If this the light is solid amber in the front of the computer.Try doing the following steps

1. Disconnect the power cable from the back of the system tower. Press the power button on the tower 30 seconds.
2. Reconnect the power cable to the back of the system tower and power it back on.

If the amber light is on the monitor power button and the tower power button is off or blinking amber it could mean that it is a bad power supply.

Is the light more amber or more green? If you push the button and it goes amber, then you probably have a bad power supply. Try getting another power supply to test. If that doesn't solve the problem, then you probably have a bad motherboard.

A flashing amber light means a power supply problem usually caused by a bad power supply. Replace the power supply and everything should work fine for you.

27 mgz oscillator on the back of the main board. Try resoldering it, or replace it.

Is the amber light flashing on the monitor?

If so, you should get your power supply checked.

Does the remote have one power button for on/off .... or, does it have separate buttons ?
