I did not mean to put a pass code on to open in order to answer phone calls or get into the phone. I went to settings but I failed to see how to remove it.
You know your pass code right If so go to settings to general to pass code lock Type in your pass code and turn it off

Hi Chad....I believe that applying the iPhone Update and Patch v1.0.1 will heal your phone. I have ran into this same problem with 2.2 on and iPhone 3G, sadly you will need to plug your phone into your computer and do a restore of the system software, I would go to 2.2.1 when you restore.
