is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other
times you get flashing, then change the switching regulator on the
"G" board or check connections. Make sure the regulator is -12
or -13 (negative). If you wish to get more details about the blinking codes to Sony brand TVs, check this link. Pull up older posts there.
Nine blinks - Replace D 6116 and D 6301 on the "G" board, do not re-solder as this will fix the problem temporary. Or Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If the repair is done by an approved workshop, they will clear the error codes (standby LED blinks) as part of their 'soak-testing' and it should reset the TV back to factory condition. Remember to ask about what work was done and if the errors have been cleared/reset before you pay their bill.
I have a Sony SRS BBE Trinitron (WEGA). The last few days when I tried to turn it on using the remote the Red Light would go on but the TV did not turn on. I would have to press the power button again to turn it on.. I tought the remote battery was just low.
Today when I tried to turn it on nothing is happening and the Red Light is blinking 9 times ??? I tried to unplug it and try it again, still does the same thing ???
The standby light should be blinking in a pattern. Count,pause,count... Please post the count and that will indicate the circuit in which a problem was detected. That will allow me to give you details and possible solutions.
