Moved into a house with a Ranger 8980E security

Moved into a house with a Ranger 8980E security system that we have done nothing with for 4 years without a problem - don't have any codes or info. Last night the keypanel in our bedroom started chirping sporatically. It's driving us CRAZY! I can't find any battery to replace. The only keypad beeping is the one in our bedroom. WHat can I do to stop it?????

that system is obsolete. the battiery is located in the control panel. most control panels are located in a closet next to the att crawel hole or in the att near the crawl hole. find the panel and if you are not going to use it pull the battiery and disconnect the ac transformer. option 2 find a local company and have them up grade your system.
