Powers up momentairly then back off.
It appears to be on the center board or at least that is
where the power goes in and a small 12v relay kicks in then
a few seconds later off. Once in a while it tries a couple of times.
I believe the center board to be the power supply. It carries the
sanken electric co label with pnt-426 on it. I can not find a repair
manual nor have I been able to find where I can find replacement parts.
Any help would be appreciated. The only steps I have taken is opening
the back and visual inspection which rendered no visual evidence that it
is this board the only indication is that is as described above where the
120 v power enters and where the 12 v relay is that is actuating and that
is audible.

- I have 8 nec px 42vp4g 1 of which is working. All of the other 7 have the same symptoms as have been described. I first suspected the power supplyPNT-426. and took it from the working set and passed it through the remaining 7 with no success they all stayed the same. I also took the 7 suspect psu's and put them in the working set voila they all worked.Somebody must have the answer, It is not the PSU. I will go through every panel until i find it. but in the meantime you could save me and everyone else alot of time by posting it here.- Guest

The fault is on the PSU board.
Replace D 28 on the PSU board. You have to use a fast diode (I used BYW 95). Replace also the
330 uF/35V and the 22uF/50V near to this diode.
After this the unit will work perfect.
