View sonic -E70fB monitor displaying H.V frequency out of range when ever i play a game on the monitor screen it is displaying h.v frequency out of range....how to solve this problem

To unlock your monitor you need to hold two keys simultaneously for about 5 seconds.

In this case for your model you need to press the 1 key and the down arrow key and a message will appear which reads ' OSD Unlock'

buttons are not working perfect.therefore pressing automatically. you have to remove the panel after power on the monitor, (it may be dangers therefore get support by electronic technician , he will remove buttons and solder new ones or replace the switch panel.

Try to set the monitor refresh rate to Adapter Default despite of Optimal or lower rate of refresh. For this first download the manual of your monitor and check what is the highest refresh rate your monitor can suport. Then goto the display properties and set the adapter refresh rate to Adapter Default. In most cases such problem is solved. You did not mentioned the OS. This method is applicable in Windows only. Sounds like the buttons or the button panel are messed up. Or it has gotten moisture in it.

The only time i have seen this was when one of the buttons were malfunctioning, and we ended up replacing the monitor.

OSD and Power Lock Settings
• OSD Lock: Press and hold [1] and the up arrow 􀁓 for 10 seconds. If any buttons are
pressed the message OSD Locked will display for 5 seconds.
• OSD Unlock: Press and hold [1] and the up arrow 􀁓 again for 10 seconds.
• Power Button Lock: Press and hold [1] and the down arrow 􀁔 for 10 seconds. If the
power button is pressed the message Power Button Locked will display for 5 seconds. With
or without this setting, after a power failure, your LCD display’s power will automatically
turn ON when power is restored.
• Power Button Unlock: Press and hold [1] and the down arrow 􀁔 again for 10 seconds.

It sounds like the frequency referred to is the monitor's frequency. If it's an LCD monitor, the frequency is usually 60Hz. If you are using a VGA cable, it's guessing the frequency and has guessed wrong.
The other possibility is that the Railroad Tycoon game sets the screen resolution and frequency to something your monitor is not capable of displaying. It sees a nice graphics card and shoots the settings to the top of the range. If you can change the settings before playing the game, you might get it to work.

Boot to safe mode and and change the display mode.

Out of range happens when the video output of the computer is set to something the monitor cannot display. Like trying to talk to someone that does not understand your language. Just because the previous monitor was the same brand does not imply it will handle the same input. Either buy a different monitor or borrow one till you get one that works, then change the video output to something your new monitor recognizes. I have this problem at church - if I change the video output to a real high resolution the main big monitor will display it but the smaller one will say "out of range"

My view sonic monitor E70fB Model. Without I Press the menu, it always appearing on the Screen. Some times Contrast up/down and osd lock and it suddenly scrollsfor other options.

If I press the exit button, it sometimes exits or agin it occurs.

So please kindly solve this problem
