I have an acer scanner, but no software. i need software compatible with windows 98 as my scanner model is not compatible with later versions of windows.

Here is a link from were you can download and install your scanners device driver.
Make sure you get your model right and it should be compatible with your windows 7.
Do you have the driver CD that came with the scanner? And is it compatible with your new O/S? If not, check the Acer website for an updated driver and download it from there.
