In nokia the generally the battery should be BL-5C so check it.if not change it coz the voltage of the center point of a battery are not similar.

* Old battery will not charge if its bulged. so get new 1 * Check if the charging plug in side th mobile has not broken. * There mite be a short connection with the pin which will not charge the battery. * take battery out keep it in sun for 5 mins and use it.or rub in 1 direction. mite work. * If there is a problem with the board , check below

Check the adapter voltage with a multimeter, If there is no voltage then the adapter has failed.
If there is voltage then remove the battery and clean the contacts, clean the terminals in the phone. connect adapter and check voltage, if present reset battery and charge, if not the battery is faulty.
If there is no voltage on the phone terminals, then the charging circuit in the phone's motherboard has failed.

Either your charger is busted or there is a loose connection in the charging circuit. try the charger elsewhere to see if it is working. Or try a different charger to see if the phone is OK.

Try charging battery before turning on.
Low battery may have enough power to light display but not for over a few seconds.
