I have two Toshiba laptops. One will not boot. Tried swapping battery, AC power cord, and hard drive; all work fine on the second laptop.
The first laptop power light comes on, then the HDD fires up and promptly shuts down. Nothing is displayed on the monitor at all. The AC power light on the laptop flashes amber twice and then blue once. This combination continues until I disconnect power or hold the power button down for about 10 seconds.
Any clue as to what is causing the failure?
You need to clean out your CPU Fan and add some thermal paste to the processor and the GPU. Just had this problem and that was my solution.
Here's a link to a good article that will help you to troubleshoot the startup error. You might also check Toshiba support online and see what the error light code indicates.
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
