This sounds like a firewall is blocking access. try adjusting your firewall settings and that should fix the problem.

If you have built in email protection try adjusting that instead of the firewall.

Good luck. Hope my solution was helpful.

I synced books to my ipod nano 2010, now when hooked to my computer, they say they are there, but I cannot find/access them on the ipod

There is one main reason why your experiencing this problem. 1. You need to configure POP3, SMTP IN outlook , express 2. Most email providers require that you have an upgraded account to allow email to be sent, recieved , forwarded to a third party for example, YAHOO requires a YAHOO PLUS account 3. Upgrading may allow you to send email directly from your desk top to include receive and send larger attachments such as photos, music, etc

Forward some pages of a letter or document by email

You send them as attachments to your email. Just pick "attachments" and you will find a dialog box where you can pick the documents you want to send. You can send 5 or 6 at a time, just keep picking the documents. Hope this helps.

On a MacBook I need to move an email message I have in a folder

The simplest way to send this attachment would be to forward the original email to your desired contact. it will keep the attachment if you Forward rather than replying. But you should be able to select the attachment and drag it out of your email to then drop it on your desktop. If not, try highlighting the attachment and then navigate through the top menus and look for an option like save or copy. If you copy, then select your location and then go back to that menu and choose paste. Let me know what you see/get...

Red x when sending pictures

Right click on the "red X" area and click on "allow images" or "view images". Something to that effect should be an option. It's simply a security measure that makes things... well... not so simple.

Cant open attachments

That's not a problem with Vista, rather it's most likely a problem with the web server. Make sure you entered all your web server information in correctly (pop3, SMPT, etc), and make sure your mail server supports MS Outlook 2007. Just double check everything. If that doesn't work, try completely un-installing and re-installing Outlook 2007. If all fails, try downloading a 3rd party mail application and see if that works.
