Question about HP DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer
I've just connected the HP 5550 to my new laptop (MacBook Pro) and it doesn't come on at all. When I press the on button, the green "on" light doesn't appear and it doesn't make any start up sounds. That is, it acts completely dead. The computer interface says it's connected correctly.I checked the electrical and USB connections several times and can't find a problem. Previously this printer was connected to my old computer and working. I've had it for more than four years. Has it died?
Thank you for your help!
Try connecting the printer to your old machine again, if it works it sure that nothing is wrong with printer.
You should check your laptop USB connection for electric leakage. use a multi-tester or something like that. Sometimes electric leakage will cause damage to the USB devices.
