I cant hear on my bberry 8100-people can hear me,but I cant hardly hear them -I downloaded the new software- and it still isnt working -any ideas I turn it up all the way from the side and still no better???

It is possible that there is something wrong with the mainboard of you BBpearl, have it checked since you have new batteries as you mentioned then it will be the Mainboard that is left to be checked, you said there is no indicator light at all then the power is not flowing to the mainboard.

Servral ideas for you.

1. Take out the hard drive and put it into the new computer.

2. Get a external drive and transfer that way.

3. use the microsoft backup software and back it up then restore on your new computer from back up set.

4. burn to CD's dvd's

Sounds like you have a broken trackball button membrane. The only way to get it up and running again is to open your blackberry to physically clean or replace the membrane. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to Blackberry Repair. If you want to do it yourself, here is a Blackberry curve Repair Guide that shows how, the part is available on Ebay.

press the very top button on the top of the phone ... according to the manual (i have the same phone) that is your mute key. that should fix the problem.

2.you may flash your BB using desktop manager 4.7

what youn need to do is take it to the shop and get it manually fixed as there is nothing you can do unless you are good with electronic you may have to get a master reset

I have A Blackberry Pearl I can only hear if I use the head set or speaker any solutions the phone hasn't been dropped, I have taken the battery out and put it back in still cant hear unless I use handset or speaker

if this issue persists on speakerphone or not, it depends on if this is a software problem. if they still cant hear you when you put them on speaker then they still wont be able to hear you. if that is the case, contact your provider for a link to dowload the most up to date software.....

if it only works when you put them on speaker phone, contact your wireless provider or RIM (1-877-255-2377) to replace or repair the phone
