Check all coax connections, make sure power out pit is tuned , check all switch's for receive can't get anything in or out , finals may be blown , i liked my old 101 but it sure doesn't like to take any abuse , good luck !!!
The problem is likely the TX/RX relay. If it is old (and I am sure it is) the contacts likely need to be cleaned, or the relay replaced. It is a common enough relay if you want to replace it. Also, pull each PCB card and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. Pink erasers are OK but the white ones are better as they aren't as abrasive.
Lynn, SSB (Single SideBand) only applies to AM (Amplitude Modulation) transmission. There is no way to broadcast SSB in FM (Frequency Modulation) mode.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume you are talking about the band modules, right? If so it will accept some in the 6m,2m,and a couple of the 70cm bands. The model numbers I know it will accept are as follows: FEX-767-2,-6,-70A and -70B. If your module is one of these they are interchangeable. BTW, all of these modules are presently discontinued I'm sorry to say. Hope this helps!
