I have a Philips 64P8342 Projection TV. It turns it's self off after about 30 minutes. Sometimes you can turn it right back on but sometimes you have to wait awhile. The volume also goes up and down on its own.

The tv turns off by itself then the power button light blinks twice, waits about a second then does it again, The screen is very blurry as if it was one of those 1990 models. When I first got the tv it was amazingly clear and vivid thats the reason I bought it. Man I really wish I hadn't bought the damn thing. The insurance company that I purchased the issurance threw screwed me around long enough trying to fix that the insurance policy ran out and they wanted me to renew my contract before they even fixed the problem from the previous years coverage was supposed to be covered all ready. Basically "never buy insurance from phillips for your tv."

The SSB board (small signal board ) Part # PH3912725871 or 313912725871 is most likely the problem. From the rear it is on the left side of the chassis mounted vertically in a socket similar to a computer memory stick. There is a small ribbon cable that pluggs into it. You can try to re-seat the board after cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser. It may help out but most of the time the board needs to be replaced. You wont like the price, They are over $200 and there is a $100 core charge.
