Question about Philips 50P8341 50" Rear Projection Television
Our Philips tv just started all at once turning itself off, sometimes it will come back on sometimes not for hours if then. someone said it could be a ssb board going bad if so is this aproblem I can fix or do we have to have a repair man an =d where would I get this part?
The SSB board (small signal board ) Part # PH3912725871 or 313912725871 is most likely the problem. From the rear it is on the left side of the chassis mounted vertically in a socket similar to a computer memory stick. There is a small ribbon cable that pluggs into it. You can try to re-seat the board after cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser. It may help out but most of the time the board needs to be replaced. You wont like the price, They are over $200 and there is a $100 core charge.
