Question about Heidelberg Linocolor Jade 2 Flatbed Scanner

1 Answer

Vibration of scanner causing misaligned image scan.

Recently my Jade2 scanner started having vibration problems during a scan. The vibration is not constant, sections of the scan are fine then a section will have misaligned scanning due to the vibration of the scan head as it travels down the rod.
Is there an fix or is it time to retire this old horse?

I have 2008 Kia Sportage, with a vibration during acceleration, I have new complete axles and drivers side hub bearing? This started after having a front end alignment done? I checked Drive line?

The location of a vibration will depend on the frequency, general direction, type of vibration or general sensation.

If it is felt principally under your feet, throught the steering, the pedals, the gear lever, etc. it is probably at the front. If it is a general shaking at transmission speed it is probably driveline. If it is at wheel speed it is probably hubs or axles. A slow sideways vibration could be wheel or tyre related and so on.
It is difficult to suggest any one thing or even an area unless you can paint a picture with words so I am almost experiencing it as you are.

It would be unlikely having the tracking checked/adjusted would be the culprit and it is probably coincidence.

A few possible causes are misaligned propellor shaft, bad viscous coupling, limited slip differential partially seized, excessive axle wind-up...

Toyota corolla vibration

could be worn down rotors (the big metal disc). The thinner rotor will not dissipate heat during braking and the pads get too hot to be able to grip the rotor and while braking you get a shudder effect

Check also the rear suspension as this can cause font tire wear un evenly

Vibration at 60mph

Hi vibration at 60 is normally wheel balance not the alaignment, get the 2 front wheels weighted and balanced, if they are wearing unevenly then it could be suspension bushes, track rod ends.

But most likely the wheels just need balancing only cost about $20 to 30 max

Hope this helps

Vibration during acclerating .ford f150 91

Believe it or not check your engine and transmission mounts. They are reinforced rubber and they may be giving, causing misalignment, creating vibration.

Vibration in handlebars/forks??

Hi,
Front end vibration can be caused by front rim/tire out of balance, worn wheel bearing(s), bent front rim, or fork misalignment.
Since you recently had fork work done, I would first check the forks for proper alignment, then have the bike on a stand and spin the wheel to see if there is wobbling. To check for bearing wear, while the front is off the ground, try to rock the wheel from side to side. If you can feel or see movement, you will need new bearings.
Hope this helps

Damaging vibration over 70mph

If this started after the rear wheel replacement recheck the allinement of the wheel it could have slipped. Then check condition of the drive belt for hard spots or missing teeth. If all this checks out have the wheels balanced and check steering head tension

DR-9080C intermittent stops during scanning which last 3 to 5 minutes

Do you have enough hard disk space? Reinstall your driver software. Run Scandisk on the Comp.

Is the problem coming on after a set time interval, any heating smell?
