Question about Maytag Washing Machines

2 Answers

The display is reading F20 Out of Order. I know that behind the frot panel, there is a way to reset the machine, I just can't remember what does it.

The machine is a commercial-grade front loader. I've gotten this error code before and because of how the water is connected to the machine, a repairman said this will happen from time to time. He showed me how to remove the front control panel and also how to reset the machine, but I can't remember the second part.

Hi, To remove the f20 error code from the Whirlpool display panel, press Pause/Cancel 2 times.
If Pause/Cancel did not work:
-Disconnect the washer from power for 2 minutes
-Reconnect the power to the washer
-Select a wash cycle and press the start button

Note:- When the washing machine is started for the first time after removing it from power, it may begin to drain. The pause or cancel will not be able to be used for 8 to 10 minutes while your washer drains.

If the error code f20 or fh comes back on the display, further troubleshooting is needed.

Hope this is of use.
Kind regards
David

Sadly many times when we learn something once we should write it down and put with owners manual . try unplugging it for a few minutes .

SOURCE: Ariston Front Loading Washing Machine error code F07

Error code F07 is indicating that the heater relay is stuck for one reason or another.
This could be a board problem, as this where the relay is located.
However, it would be worth checking that the heater is o/k before you do anything else., as this possibly could cause the relay to malfunction.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Kenmore HE2T F20 plus Water leakage when tub starts to fill

Have you read by advice on how to diagnose this problem? Click on the following link:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r1491905-f20_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

If you HAVE water entering the wash tub, first verify that you do not have a siphoning condition. This is where the drain line does not have the proper air gap to drain properly and creates a vacuum on the drain line. This will cause drain problems and may prevent the washer from filling all the way. Or, you may have trouble maintaining the water level. When you stated you had water leaking, is this a visible leak? Or, do you have water slowly draining from the tub? Double check your drain line to be sure.

Next, check the drain pump to ensure it is not clogged or obstructed which minimizes drain flow. Also, make sure the pump is running. Remove the access cover and clean out the pump reservoir. In addition, check the drain line from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the drain pump. I have personally found small articles of clothing stuck in this line, preventing drain flow.

Read through the link thoroughly. If you require additional assistance, please let me know before rating the solution. I hope this helps you.

How do I reset/clear error codes F20 and F21 on my Maytag commercial washers?

Try to turn off power for 2 minutes and fool the washer into thinking it is new vs suffering a water loss. If that doesn't work see if there is a reset button on the mother board.

Electronic Relay Control

Good Afternoon C, error code F20 does indicate part replacement on the ESEC-UIB (User Interface Control), located behind the console on the side of the actual display. I would recommend, however, running a quick test to ensure that this is not a false error code. You do this by resetting your oven by flipping the breaker or unplugging the unit for approximately ten minutes. If resetting the unit does not correct the issue, please reach out to an expert technician to ensure the appropriate replacement part is ordered and is installed correctly to prevent future issues. I hope this information helps to some degree - thanks for your question, and please do not hesitate to reconnect.

Error F20 always out of order Maytag washing machine Mod. MAH22PNAGWO

F-20 is almost always gonna be a clogged pump. Remove the service panel and the tech sheet is behind it. The filter is also down there. Remove the filter and see if stuff is in there. Water might come out so have a way to catch it.

We have a Whirlpool front load washer and when we try to do a load of wash, it puts a code of F20 on the display and does not wash properly. I was wondering if there may be a simple fix to the problem.

"F20" is a "No Water Detect" error code. This usually means you have very little water entering the machine, or no water at all. The following link explains the error code in more detail and steps necessary to troubleshoot:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608632-f20_error_code

Replacement parts (if required) can be purchased at any of the following websites:

searspartsdirect.com
pcappliancerepair.com
appliancepartspros.com
repairclinic.com

Prices vary between sites, so shop and compare. The first three sites listed also have helpful exploded view parts illustrations to assist you with locating and properly identifying the parts you may need.

NOTE: Each one of thes washers comes with a technical data sheet inside. The tech sheet lists all error codes, troubleshooting information, wiring diagrams, diagnostics procedures and illustrations. To access, you need to remove the lower toe panel directly below the door. The screws are located under the bottom front edge. With the screws removed, the panel will drop down and can be removed. If the tech sheet is not located directly behind the toe panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls.
I mention the tech sheet, because you may need to refer to it in order to accurately troubleshoot.
If you have any questions, please post back and let me know. I hope this information is helpful to you.

WHAT DOES ERROR CODE F20 MEAN? JUST MOVED & HANDBOOK CANNOT BE FOUND RIGHT NOW.

"F20" is a No Water Detect error. It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed. The following link explains some of the common causes of the error code and how to troubleshoot: http://www.fixya.com/support/r3608632-f20_error_code The error codes aren't listed in the owner's manual.

Each one of these washers come with a technical data sheet inside. To access, you will need to remove the lower toe panel under the door. The access screws are located under the bottom front edge of the panel. You may have to prop the two front feet of the washer up for better access ( a 2x4 works well for this). With the screws removed, the panel should drop down, then come off. If the tech sheet isn't directly behind the panel, it will be affixed to one of the interior cabinet walls.

The tech sheet lists all error code definitions, troubleshooting data, diagnostics procedures and wiring diagrams. I mention the tech sheet because you may need it to troubleshoot this error code.

Read through the information and let me know if you need assistance beyond what the tech sheet provides. I hope you find this information helpful.

Washing machine turns off and it shows f20 on display

HI. this code represents a Long Drain issue.

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes, the water valves are turned off and F20 is flashed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.

NOTE: After 4 minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F20 error code will be displayed.

Potential Causes

• Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked
• Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
• Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects(located, and mounted on the actual pump. (You will need to remove the front lower panel to access the pump and filter)
• If the above does not correct the problem replace the pump.

My Kenmore HE3 washer is reading F20 and I don't know what is wrong with it and how to fix it can anyone help?

If I remember correctly, F20 is a water supply problem. Here is what you need to do:
  1. Go ahead and hit Pause/ Cancel twice.
  2. Unplug the machine.
  3. Turn the water off going to the machine.
  4. Disconnect both hoses from the back of the machine.
  5. Look inside where the hoses screw on and check the screens, be sure they are not clogged.
  6. Also make sure the hoses are not kinked.
  7. Re-connect the hoses.
  8. Turn the faucets on all the way.
  9. Plug the machine back in and see if that fixed it.
Please rate this submission, thanks and I hope this fixes your problem

Hotpoint wf840 displays error code f-10 I have checked the cold fill and can not find a problem anyone know what could be wrong?

power off. Check the pressure switch - a round item about 3 inches across with several wires connected, it sits under the top cover. Its an air operated switch which tells the machine water has reached the correct level. Disconnect the thin rubber pipe from the switch and blow down through it to clear any blockage. Switch itself may be faulty but its more likely the pipe is blocked.
Also check the filter - generally located behind a panel at the foot of the machine. Some are obvious like little square hatches and some are hidden behind the trim panel at the foot of the machine. Once panel is removed the filter will be seen. Its a circular fitting which generally unscrews in an anticlockwise direction.
