Question about HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

HP 6210 Officejet All-in-One

This unit has the command  "Shutting Down'' that appears in the Printer  screen and the Button will not turn Off the Printer.  It seems to be 'stuck.'
The message on the computer screen is:  "Print Cartridge Error"  and I have removed the cartridges several times and replaced them and the cartridges each seem to be installed properly.  The Carriage moves back and forth, but nothing initializes to start any process.
Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hello there, I am the Expert that will be helping you today. My name is damnor01.

Welcome to Fixya.
I suggest downloading and installing the latest available drivers for your HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer.

Click here to download and install the latest drivers for your HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer.

Follow the instructions given by HP on their website.
You will need to select the operating system that you are using, the version of Windows that you are installing this printer on.

Remember you need a driver!

Turn OFF your computer and your printer, then power it on in a minute.
Next up is to navigate to the control panel and double click printers and faxes.

On the bottom right of the box that appears click the button that says Print Test Page.

A test page will then be printed, from this you will be able to tell if your printer is working or not.

Do you think it might be the ink is low or empty?

Tell me how it goes!

Thanking you kindly

You can try Full Reset on printer

Disconnect power cord from back of printer ( while printer is on )
While holding the # and 6 button connect the cord back and release the # and 6 after 3-5 seconds..
The printer will turn off and will turn on again.. follow the Alignment process

Note : By doing this Full Reset - you may loose any Speed Dial/Group Dial entry from the printer

Also try changing the Printer Socket, Connect to walljack directly or another socket on the Surge strip.
