Reset filter time - Sharp XR-32X Projector

*Plug in air cleaner and press POWER button until short “beep” sounds. . Press the RESET FILTER button by gently inserting a paperclip into the RESET FILTER hole on the control panel. The light will flash 5 times before a “beep” sounds to indicate the filter has been reset.

Reset the filter timer
The filter time is the time counted after the last resetting.
It is shown in the OPTION menu as the use time of the air filter.
Pressing the RESET button on the remote control for about 3 seconds displays a dialog.
To reset the filter time, select the RESET using the UP arrow button RESET and CANCEL

You can reset the "Filter Time" on your projector and it will clear this error out of the system.

1) Clean Filter
2) Turn the power on
3) Hit the Menu button
4) Once the menu appears choose "Options"
5) Choose "Filter Time"
7) While the time is displayed hold the "Reset" button on the remote for 3 seconds
8) The "Reset" menu will pop-up and choose reset.

That should take care of it.

Procedure for resetting filter time.
Pressing the RESET button for about 3 seconds displays the FILTER TIME menu. Select the RESET using button to reset the timer. : RESET <- CANCEL Selecting the RESET resets the count of the lamp timer to 0. memo Perform this function only when you have cleaned or replaced the air filter. The filter timer counts the used time of the air filter after cleaning or replacement, to display the messages about the air filter. In the advanced menu go to option, then highlight filter time and hold down on the right side of the menu button until the filter time reset menu comes up. When that comes up choose reset by pressing the up arrow on the menu button.

In the manual, it says you have to go in the menu to the OPTION submenu. Go down to FILTER TIME and hold the right arrow down for 3 seconds. It will then go into a mini-submenu that, when you press the up arrow, will reset the filter time to 0. The key is to hold down the right arrow initially for THREE+ SECONDS to get into the reset filter time menu. This is NOT the submenu that has RESET - EXECUTE. That is a different thing that doesn't reset filter & lamp time.

What you want to do is go to the advanced menu, find the filter time and using the remote hold down reset button for 3 seconds or so while the filter time is selected. This will bring up a reset menu and reset the timer.

Menu, options, filter time. When the filter time is displayed, press the reset button for at least 3 seconds. The reset menu will appear and you can select RESET.

Hiya there, just worked out how to reset the filter timer so for those that need to know here's the solution;
Bring up the menu and go right the way down to "Option" where it shows you the lamp and filter hours.
Next highlight/select the filter timer section and while its on there hold the RESET button on the remote for 5 seconds.. this then pops up with a resert option and hey, 0h again, good as new! :-)
Oh and if you dont have a remote, just hold the right arrow button instead for 5 seconds in place of the reset and follow instructions as above!
