Question about Coby MPC-848 MP3 Player
I had the same problem. The Coby MP-c848 player has little support on the coby website and the coby provided software cannot find the player when it is on your USB port.
It turns out it is a corrupted file(s) on your MP3 player. If you can download Microsoft's Play 4 sure and format the Coby MP-c848. It will start OK the next time you use it, but all of your files would be lost.
If possible try deleting certain files on your MP3 with Play 4 sure.

Your batteries may be dead, the coil that it (the battery) attaches to sometimes gets bent out of the way, so try turning that back.
