1991 Maxima SE started running rough. Seems like a dead miss. It started this after purchasing gas at a Wal Mart store. After a day or so it stopped missing. Started intermitant dead miss off and on for a while. A couple of months later it started again. Now miss won't go away. A scratching sound in rear of engine it seems like a dry belt where there is no belt. Car starts immediately and never goes dead. Plugs and wires were changed less than a year ago. Leak in power steering hose allows oil to leak onto side of engine. Don't know if this has effect or not.

ist ..purchase a fuse tester available at any auto stores such as pep boys.wal-mart etc...test the fuses to identify the dead fuse...pull out the fuse and replace with fuse of same amp...
It is hard to say without being there to fully inspect it and reading codes, but usually idle tracking is the fault. A code reader from either Wal Mart or most auto part stores will be perfect for you and though they cost a little they will save you so much money over the years. Most auto shops charge at least $30 just to hook up a code reader and diagnose your vehicle. Make sure you get the one that is universal and for many makes. That way no matter what cars you buy, you can diagnose them yourself
you probably have a build up of "gunk" in the fuel pipe or injection system, the popping and stalling when accelarating could be tied to this (the valves probably gunked up) their is a kit wal-mart has that may help its a fuel injection (carb) cleaner the kit you can do at home and comes with directions or it can be done in the automotive garage.
Go to Wal-Mart or any Auto Parts Store and Get a Can of B12-Chemtool Fill your Gas tank and Put into the Fuel tank. This will clear up any Contaminants in the Fuel. Sounds like you might have a Little Bad Gas.
You Definatelly got some Bad Fuel. Get a can of B-12 Chemtool from any Auto Parts Store or Wal-Mart and Pour it in the Gas Tank then Let it Run for a While. Should help Dramatically! Let me know!
2000 maxima is filled with R134, not freon. You don't need retro fit kit. Get couple of cans of R134 and pump it into the low side valve /small fiting, while A/C compressor is engaged. If your compressor is not coming on, jump the low side pressure switch to make the compressor come on and than the R134 will get sucked in to your system through the low side line. The proper way to do this is to put a/c system under vaccum for 15 minutes at least and watch for leak/gauges coming/loosing vaccum. Than pump R134 into the HIGH side valve with engine OFF.
