GPS has global coverage. I see your problem is sourcing the map of Australia because the x1 comes only with Europe maps on CD. there may be a possibility the S2 maps work on the x1. Try contacting Pioneer Australia http://www.pioneer.com.au/customerservice/

I have a Pioneer AVIC-D2 DVD Nav/6.5" Screen/AM/FM/CD Player Car Video Player i can play music on it ,wen i insert a dvd the screen goes black i can hear the dvd playing on my speakers but no picture comes...

there is a safety brake wire that needs to be hooked up. If it was installed professionally, have them explain it to you. There is not supposed to be any video players in view of the driver while in motion. Stop your car and put on the parking brake. If you installed it yourself, you probably didnt hook up the wire. Look inthe install manual for DVD safety wire.

GPS touch screen not working

This works!!!! This saved me $200.00 I am eternally thankful! the key to it is pressing the little reset button. it is very small and only accessable with a pen. If you follow the directions as listed, it will work. I've been born agan for fixya!

Nope, you have to have the CD in whilst entering a nav route, frustrating as it is...

You have to listen to your CDs via an auto changer.

Pioneer AVIC-D2

OK, I spoke to Pioneer tech support and they had me go to destination>settings>connection status. If the parking brake shows "off", many of the functions will not work as a safety measure. I guess this is their version of interlock. I think it can be defeated with a wire-around, but thats what they say the problem is.
