for acer aspire 5738-6922 with Vista Ultimate 64Bit (thanks from Brazil)

- This is a secret! Yes! Acer dont have a link to do this. I change the original SO (Linux) of my notebook to Vista Ultimate and because this, Acer dont give to me a necessary support. Acer dont permit change SO of manufactures. (sorry for poor english)

- Oh God!!! U dont understanding... U are very kind but my question is not this! I buy a Acer notebook with Linux. I change Linux to Windows Ultimate, and then, Acer dont give me suporte to download acer empowering technology.
I need "Acer Empowering Technology" only!!
My acer is aspire 5738-6922 with Vista Ultimate 64Bit
Acer dont permit modification in your produt if u need suporte.
Manufacture, originaly, Linux is instaled and I change!. Can u understand now? :)

Another issue of simply reinstalling whatever you wipe out by going to the Acer location in which this resides, and downloading the original package, then reinstalling it. No big secret; just do what you need to do, and get it done.

- If it is true that Acer doesn't have a 64-bit OS for VIsta and their own laptops, and I admit ignorance, as I have not had time to Google this, or look on Acer's site, then the answer is to simply find a 64-bit version of Vista's OS and start from scratch. Format your HD, then use the Microsoft installation DVD for Vista 64-bit, and install the Vista 64-bit OS from scratch. Then go from there, finding whichever drivers you might need. Find the drivers first, if you can do it, so that you are not hung up during the installation process, and have what you need up front.

Then, Just Do It!
