Webcam never been used. Device Manager does not show webcam under imaging devices

Sound has nothing to do with infrared devices.
The yellow exclamation mark that you see under the device manager is due to drivers of the infrared device not found or is not installed properly.
There might also be a possibility that the device is not getting recognized by the computer due to corrupted drivers so the drivers of the particular needs to be installed again with the CD.

You must have got a photo/video capture software pre-installed, like YouCam. Or you can download some freeware from Download.com and give it a try.
You can also use a chat software for video talking. It works best if you have a microphone.
Also, YouTube has a Quick Capture feature which lets you to capture a video with the webcam instantly and upload to the site.

It may not be installed I would try the web site driverguide.com and fill out a free registration search the data base for your driver download and install the reboot your computer

i think u r using pirated windows. nad ur autoupdate is on. i think if u reinstall windows it may work fine. i suggest to format c: and reinstall window to be sure
