No spin cycle or drain

I have a frigidare gallery model 41739012891. It will wash but none of the spin cycles seem to be working properly. There is currently water in it that won't drain. Is it a timer problem or something else

Ok, check the following before you replace the timer. in most cases, the washer will not spin if there is a drainage issue. please check the following below and, if everything concerning the drain assembly checks out ok, then , replace the timer.

1. Clogged drain line or water pump
Check to see if there's something stuck inside the pump or the drain hose connected to the pump (pump is usually located at the bottom and towards the back of the washing machine).

2. Water Pump
If the drain line isn't clogged, you may have a problem with the water pump such as a frozen pulley or a broken impeller. If that's the case replace the water pump. Note: if you have a belt driven washer, check the belt(s) for cracks, as this would be a perfect time to replace the belt(s) if needed.

Zanussi aquacycle 1200.After a wash has finished and i empty washing, reload again,it wont start and none of the lights come on.eventially it works ok again after a good 5-10 mins.

you have probably done no harm. try selecting spin and drain again to ensure the water has drained properly.
Machine starting on its own after 5 minutes or so is usually the door lock failing, again not caused by your actions.

You likely have a broken or slipped drive belt or broken spring on the belt take up arm on the drum. Appliance Parts.com has a lot of DIY instructions on how to get at the belt and make repairs.

I have a frigidare gallery glws1749a its not draining or spinning I took pump off and its working its not while its on. Where do I need to look now

Please check the power to the drain pump while it is activated to the drain cycle and if there is no power then the processor control panel is a suspect. You need to check out with a panel to confirm before you replace.

I have a Frigidare FWX833AS1 which had been working quite well until a screw left in a pants pocket lodged in the basket/drum. after that it hasnt drained completely but running the spin cycle a second...

Take off the back of the machine. Locate the water pump, it will have the drain hose attached to it. Remove the water pump and take it apart. You should find your screw and maybe some other things. If the water pump is not damaged reinstall and everything should be working.

Hello I have a Maytag Washer Model A512 The machine goes through a regular cycle OK - However, it DOES drains the water out during the rinse cycle, but does NOT drain the water out during the spin...

The timer will always advance to the next program if the machine does not fully drain. There is ALWAYS a spin when draining the water out, there is only one pump and one motor. The waterlogged laundry maybe telling the timer that there is still water in the tub. Put the machine on "Spin" and cheat the lid switch into thinking that the lid is closed. Use a clothes peg or wide ended screwdriver and see if there really is a spin....

Leaking from the bottom of washer

A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem that you find. Also, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If that happens, the entire outer tub would need replaced, but that might not be an economical repair to make and would require professional assistance. Hopefully, the main drain line is leaking and can be repaired. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes

Will not extract on spin cycle

After oheming motor control board as stated in the service manual. Tracing the 6 pin lead wires from the control board to the motor plug. I found that one of the pin on motor plug was not making proper connection. I used a screw driver to pry the pin open so it made a better connection. Tried the washer and so far it has been working 7 washes.
