Printing is out of alignment after "deep cleaning".

Try using the Q-tip and alcohol on the print head (transparent film). Did you refill the cartridge yourself because overfilling will cause ink everywhere. If there is too much ink for the Q-tip, try a kleenex with alcohol. In order to test prints, the excessive ink must be dealt with.

Use the paper option, BUT you need special inkjet transparency film. If you use normal transparency film the ink cannot dry properly and will streak.

Can i print onto Transparency film from my Canon MG 6150 as there is no setting for transparencies, what paper setting would i use

Try the setting for glossy photo media. You want a minimum of ink. Also use the transparency media intended for ink jet AND observe the correct side to be printed on.

Printing on transparancies

Thank you for your support, it was dead on! I just simply follwed the directions in properties and used less ink.

I have been using Walgreen ink refills in emergencies, so I bought some HP ink and I reaqlly do not know whether it was the ink, or I believe it was the settings.

God bless!

Film viewing and scanning

Sorry, but you won't be able to do that with a CX6600. In order to scan film negatives, you need a printer that includes a transparency unit in the lid, that is, a panel that lights the film from behind. Also, the CX6600's scan resolution wasn't designed for detailed film scans. Try the online Epson Store at www.epsonstore.com where you can often find good deals on refurbished stand-alone scanners with transparency units.
