How di i fix a Corrupt display on ti-83 plus

You may try to increase the contrast in the hope that the lazy pixels will be reactivated. If that does not work, the calculator may be just suffering from old age and needs to be retired.

Ti-84 says corrupt or invalid

You should feel lucky that the calculator refused to accept your transfert of a corrupt or invalid program. Find a non corrupted game or just use the calculator as it was intended to be used.
You may find games on the website. Their use is at your own risk.

How do I fix my TI-84 Plus Silver Edition if none of the buttons will work?

Will the calculator turn on at all? If not, check the batteries first. There is a little coin battery that stores memory for the device behind where the regular batteries sit. This does not often fail, but could cause the thing to not power up. Note: removing the coin battery will clear any information stored on your calculator.

If the device is stuck in an infinite loop, or is unresponsive with the busy icon, try pressing and holding the "2nd", left, right and "on" buttons in that order and holding them all at the same time. This is the command to cancel whatever process the device is working and clear the internal memory (At least on the TI-89. I'm not 100% sure the command works on an 84).

How do I factor using the fx-115 ES calculator? would a problem like 9x^2+24x+16-Z^2 be solvable on this calculator? If not, does Casio sell any calculators that would help me factor this equation?

No, your calculator cannot factor polynomials. You need a calculator that has a CAS (computer Algebra System)
Yes Casio sells calculators with CAS: The FX-Algebra 2.0 and 1.0, the FX-9860GPLUS/GII SD, the GRAPH85 or 80 and the Graph 100+. You also have the CLASSPAD Series 300PLUS and 330.
TI and HP also have CAS calculators.

Texas Instruments
TI 89 /Titanium, Voyage 200PLT, TI92PLUS (discontinued), TI Inspire CAS.

Batteries good, but can't enter numbers.

If you cannot enter numbers that means memory is full or command line is full. You must make room for new commands and new data.
I suggest to
Reset the memory or clear the data, equations, graphs etc. that may still be in calculator memory.

TO RESET THE RAM (any programs you typed in) will be deleted

  1. Press [2nd] [ ] to open Memory management tool
  2. Press 7 number key to select [7:Reset]
  3. You will be asked to select [1:All RAM] or [2:Defaults]
  4. Select [1:All RAM]
  5. Press [2] to Reset.
  6. After memory is reset calculator displays Done.

To delete items selectively.

  1. Press [2nd] [ ] to open Memory management tool
  2. Select [2: Mem Mgmt/Del..]
  3. If you know what kind of objects you want to erase then select any other appropriate item but [1:All]
  4. If you do not know what is taking up space select [1:All]
  5. A lising of all objects in memory is displayed
  6. When thery are empty, the Lists L1 to L6 are 12 bytes long. Letters are 18 bytes long.
  7. To delete an iten in the displayed screen, highlight it (by moving cursor to its level) and pressing the [DEL] button.

Go then through all the listing and delete variables, prograns, objects (graphs) that you want.
After you finish, press [2nd][MODE] to quit.
Allow the calculator some time to defragment the mempry.

When graphing says ERR: INVALID DIM 1:Quit

You have two lists that don't agree in length.

Solution 1 (easy)

Press [y=] and look at the top line - one of your Plots is highlighted.
Move the arrow to the highlighted one, press enter to get it un-highlighted.

Solution 2 (permanent)

Press [STAT] - EDIT: [1] to edit your lists. Go to the bottom of the lists and see which one is the longest. Delete (DELETE, not clear) the "extra" entries in the longest list until all lists are the same length.
