Water all over the floor this morning in front of freezer section. Looked at temperature settings on GE Monogram built-in side by side. 33 deg Freezer and 43 degrees fridge. It will not accept a reset to correct temperatures. Keeps going back to the 33 / 43 setting. Help :-)

My ge monogram gets warm every year this time of year. All of a sudden no ice and everything defrosts. We vacuumed vents up top last yr and it got cold again. What the heck???
Turns out the problem was because we didn't shut the freezer door tightly. The temperature re4set itself in about three hours. All OK and no expense :-)

The problem is the ice maker fails to make ice. I noted the green light was blinking so I shut it off for a few hours and turned it back on. The light is now solid but not making ice. I am unable to find the model in the manual, although it is a 48" side by side.

I have a built-in monogram series side-by-side refrigerator 36x42x48 bought in 2002. About every half hour or so it makes a noise that sounds like a machine gun about 10 rapid tat-tat-tat sounds to the left side in the freezer area. I have removed the ice maker aparatus turned the ice maker off and pulled the plug apart inside the ice maker area and it still makes the sound. A GE repairman has come out but doesn't know what is wrong. Any ideas? Jim McNelis
