How can i use my lexmark X74 X75 All In one on Windows operating system

Support information the X75 printer can be found here.

Support information the X74 printer can be found here.

On these page are a link to Windows 7 Information; if you open you will find that Lexmark does not support your printer for Windows 7.

There are no Windows drivers available for the X75; however drivers for Windows, 2000, 98, Me and XP (32-bit) are available for the X74 and these will probably work for the X75.

If your operating system is one of the above check under the tab labelled Downloads; select your operating system to download your driver and save in a known location.

When you connect your printer Windows will try to install but you should be prepared to point to the driver location. If the printer doen not autoinstall you will have to add your printer manually through the Printer section of your Control Panel.

Windows Manual Printer Removal

There are times when a printer, even though you uninstalled it, will still stay in the system and affect programs or even the startup of Windows. When this happens you need to manually remove the printer. Here is how to do just that.

Uninstall the printer via control panel. Next you will want to check the spool driver location and registry settings.

Reboot the system in to Safe Mode via F8 at statup. Remove the printer from the registry:

locate the key below and remove the printer via its name:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-x\printer_name

Next you will want to remove any drivers left over in the system. Locate the file location below and remove the directory named your printer model.

%SystemRoot% represents your system folder within your windows installation folder. Typically c:\windows\system or c:\winnt\system.

Reboot the system and see how it goes.

Good Luck!

When trying to add my printer(LEXMARK 6150) to my computer what model/make do I select to make my printer compatiable with my computer?

You should select your make and model. If you do not have a printer driver showing up in your options to select you need to download a printer driver from here.

The Windows Vista driver will also work for Windows 7. Select the version of your Windows operating system, i.e Windows Vista (32-bit) or Windows Vista (64-bit).

If you do not know the version of your operating system, open Control Panel, click on System and look for System type.

Download the available driver and note the location where you save it. Use the add a printer function and if necessary point to the driver file location if the install program can not find it.

Shoud you need instructions with greater detail look under the Top Articles tabs at the above link for further assistance on how to download and install a driver.

Trust this is helpful.

Already installed driver from downloading online. cannot find driver printer in the devices and printer option of the control panel. cannot find driver when i started printing...

If you have not previously installed your printer or you did an uninstall before downloading the new driver, you now need to add the printer using the new driver.

In Windows 7, click on Devices and Printers.

At the top of the window you will see Add a device and Add a printer

Click on Add a printer.

Choose either Add a local printer or Add network, wireless or Bluetooth printer.

Follow through the choices and if the install program is not able to find the dowloaded driver, point to the location where your driver was downloaded. If you did not make note of the location you could run a search or download a second time making sure you save the driver to a location you can remember. You can then say Have Disk when asked and then browse to the location you saved the printer driver on your computer

If you have the correct driver for your printer and operating system the printer should complete installation

IR c3200 lost connegtion to my network

Hi sonny31,

To connect to a printer on a network
Open Printers and Faxes.

Double-click Add Printer to start the Add Printer Wizard, and then click Next.

Click a network printer, or a printer attached to another computer, and then click Next.

Connect to the desired printer using one of the following three methods.

Searching for it in the Active Directory

If you are not logged on to a domain running Active Directory, this method will not be available.

Click Find a printer in the Directory, and then click Next.

If needed, change the default printer location listed in the Location field by clicking the Location Browse button, and then choosing the appropriate location.

Click Find Now.

In the list that appears, click the printer you want to connect to, and then click OK.

Typing the printer name or browsing for it

Click Connect to this printer, or click Next to browse for a printer.

Do one of the following:
• Type the printer name using the following format, and then click Next:

• Browse for it on the network by clicking Next, locating the printer in Shared printers, and then clicking Next.

Good luck!
And Thanks.

I Can't located the disk to reinstall the printer drivers for my hp photosmart c550. tried to locate the printer drivers on line and was sent to this site.

Is the printer a photosmart c5550? That will make a difference in your ability to find drivers. If you have a c5550, there are drivers if you search on for your drivers. You will also need to know your operating system to narrow down the drivers you should download.
