Autocad 2006 Hello Guys, I want to remove Autocad from my laptop. Please take a note that i've already tried the add/remove option. What surprises me is that under add/remove programs when i click on Autocad it is highlighted as usual but there are no options displayed [such as; remove, repair etc.] Can you guys help me get rid of it.

Re: Autocad 2006

If you still have the install software run it and select the repair option, then you should be able to remove it from add remove programs after a reboot.

Volume adjuster is fade out, will not respond to clicks, no sound, XP

Go to control panel>add remove programs>add remove windows components. The very first box is "accesories"- make sure the box is checked, and add it. If it is already checked, uncheck it, let winows do it's thing, go back and check it to add it back; hopefully you'll be back in business. I don't know if the latest updates are balling things up, but I've noticed alot of people losing windows components lately.

Is like this:i draft my house plan.but when print out my comes out small.what might be the problem?i used scale of 1;100.paper i used A1 size.and details i used this correct.i never had...

I believe when you used the scale of 1:100, it formatted it for the A1 paper, but only 1/100th of the size. Try doing a 1:1 (or, if available, auto) scale. AutoCAD should handle the rest.

My autocad installer is autocad 2007 while my pc is windows 2007 when i install the installer it was a success but my problem now is the worksite wont appear it doesnt run

I've been searching around for a solution for my AutoCAD 2004, and have now found one - so I thought I'd update everyone on Fixya since I've always used the solutions and never posted! I used a tool called the Longbow Converter, it installed my AutoCAD 2004 on 64bit Windows 7 perfectly, the website says that it supports your version too - hope it helps. Nex

Help! I have vista preinstalled in my laptop, can't run autocad

This is the price to pay for pirated stuff!, I suggest you uninstall your software and re-install it but before doing so make sure that your internet is disabled (manually disconnect from you provider or disable your wifi card). Then do your work, saves your files and connect to internet without running your software if you need to send a draft to a friend.

Hope it helped,

32 bit program to 64 bit opperating system

From the Autocad webiste:
System Requirements AutoCAD® Civil and AutoCAD® Civil 3D® 2009 Recommended System Requirements Recommended configuration (excluding server components used with project management capabilities):
  • Intel® Pentium® 4 (3 GHz or higher); AMD Athlon™; multiple processors supported, dual-core supported
  • 32-bit only: Microsoft® Windows Vista® Ultimate/Business/Enterprise, Microsoft® Windows XP (SP2)
Note: Windows XP 64 and Windows Vista 64 are supported in 32-bit compatibility mode only.

Here's how you should be able to run it in compatibility mode:
1. Right click on the Autocad Icon in your start menu
2. click on Properties
3. click on the Compatibility tab at the top
4. check the box next to Compatibility Mode and select Vista 32 bit if it is given as an option.

I don't have Vista here, but that is how it works in XP and I did do a search and it appears to be the same in Vista.
