To use the Acer recovery CD you need to boot up with the CD. Go into the BIOS setting and scroll through the settings until you come to Boot order. Then move the CD/DVD drive up as the first boot device and the hard disk as the 2nd boot device. When you boot up the Acer with the recovery CD in the CD/DVD drive then it will boot up with the Recovery CD.
have you change the settings of boot device from your bios?..in order for you to boot from CD or DVD once you install a windows, first go to your bios settings and change the boot device priority. The 1st boot should be the CD/DVD. Hope it helps thanks.

Then, do the device boot options thing one more time with the CD as the first boot device .
did you change the order in the bios setinbg?put the 1st device for boot to be the CD/DVD-rom not HARD drive, to get into bios try F2., ESC, ,F12 . and in the bios setup change the order put 1st boot device to be CD/DVD-rom, then try again to setup Windows.
