is the needle inserted correctly--flat side goes to the back of the machine the possiblities are worn or broken gear machine could be out of time needs to be serviced
Needle could be loose or bended or use another size. Put the needle all the way out and the insert a new one inside making sure is the right way in (flat part hasto be looking oposite of you).
another thing is that the Tension could be too tight.
Last, Rethread the machine with another thread to make sure is good.
Two things I have found that make my singer ce-200 nest. 1st. When I change threads, sometimes I thread it wrong - always nests when I do that. 2nd. When the bobbin runs out of thread it always nests for me, so I have to check the bobbin often. And I remembered a 3rd thing. 3rd. The area for the bobbin & bobbin casing has to be clean, no pieces of threads, and the bobbin casing itself can move, so make sure it's seated correctly.Whenever I get nesting, I take the metal cover off, under the needle, to get in and clean the bobbin area and under the needle good, before I go back to embroidering.
It happend to me aswell , not getting the source of the problem!
Then I noticed that the bobbin casing was out of the original position, take the whole casing out and make sure that when you put it back that the small metal tension loop at the front side on the right is correct, this image you can see in your handbook, (placement of the bobbin casing)
Dear Magarita, The safety device is activated when thread gets entangled around the bobbin case. First check by removing the plastic see-through plate. If necessary remove the 2 scews on the metal needle plate and remove the bobbin case completely. Put it back and test by turning the handwheel. It should turn freely.
