Kim:

Check your wheel bearings and ball joints. Checking the wheel bearings: stand next to the front tire, crouch down, put your hands on the top of the tire, and try to rock the top of the tire by pushing the top of the tire away from you and pulling the top of the tire toward you (rock it hard and fast). do both front tires. Any noise or sideways movement of the tire is bad, (Bearings are worn) and needs to be repaired. Then, stand at the front corner of the car, and push down on the front corner of the car repeatedly (rocking the corner of the car up and down (Rock it up and down Hard) If you hear the popping noise your ball joints need to be replaced. If these tests don't work but you still get the popping noise when you drive, take the car to a mechanic. Popping noises from the front end of a car is dangerous. If anything happens up there, you could lose your steering!

SOURCE: clicking noise in the front end when making turns

Most likely this a broken CV joint and this means replacing the axle.

SOURCE: Front End Noise, Chev Cavalier

It sounds like you have a bad c v or constant velocity joint. Look under the car next to the wheel look for a rubber accordian type unit, if the rubber is torn or lose the grease has escaped and damaged the joint. You can replace it yourself, but if your not mechanically inclined would say take it to a shop.

You'll need to find out where the noise is coming from first.
Is it making the noise before you start driving the car ?
Does it sound like its coming from the passenger side of the engine ?
It could be the serpentine belt or something mechanical.

Front end makes popping sound when turn a corner

If you are feeling this through steering wheel more pronounced at lower speeds it is known problem with intermediate steering shaft. If your feeling it in floor boards maybe issue with engine cradle mounts.

Growing noise in front end of Volvo s60

sounds like a wheel brg, if the noise lessens when you turn to the left while driving more than likely it is coming from the right side, but a brg makes more of a roaring noise.
