Disconnect the desktop computer from the electrical power.
Plug it in, while looking at the computer, and listening for any noises (spinning fans, or lamps that light up) as soon as it is plugged in. Then, press the ON/OFF switch, and watch any lamps, and listen for any fans. If nothing, then the power-supply is the problem.
try rebooting your coumpter is in sleep mode it takes a long time but you will get it back on .... keep pushing the power button aventally it will start up
My first inclination would be to check the power supply. There is a fan within it. If it is not turning and pushing out air, the supply will immediately fail when it gets hot. Upon starting PC, you should hear that fan and feel air coming from the vent holes. I would also check to see that any case fans inside are clear of cables. Hard drives and other media drives could also make the sound, but they shouldn't prevent PC from starting.
i am no whizz, but i think, just THINK maybe you should get some friend or relative to check the wiring to the fan and the power button, maybe when cleaning the fan, the wires were losen, as the button is millimeters away from the fan.

Open up the pc with power off. After cleaning with a blowing or sucking device, gently press on the connections and plug-in devices. Retry.
If no avail, the power supply or the motherboard may have bit the dust. U can get them repaired or replaced.... or save the HD and buy a another pc and add the old HD as a data disk.
The first thing I would check would be the door switch. Dryers operate on 220 volts. Many brands split the 220v into 110v for controls and motor and 110v to the heater. There are also safety systems on many brands that won't allow the heater to come on if the fan motor is not running and blowing air throught he element to prevent overheating and dryer fires. If the door switch is ok, check the belt. If the belt is ok, it could be a problem with the motor start switch. The motor start swith is complicated fix and should be done by a professional. ALWAYS BE SURE TO DICONNECT THE POWER BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY REPAIRS.
