Normal 0 Did you install the software with the camera connected to the computer? Disconnect the camera from the USB port and reinstall the software. When the program asks you to connect the camera, do so, and it should work. Hope this is of some help. Bud

Below is info for setting up Audio & Video to chat on line after you install , either Skype or a messenger program.

Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

  1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
  4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

C. Windows Live Messenger:

  1. After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
  2. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.
  3. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
  4. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the instructions.
NOTE: You audio and video shoud work. Enjoy.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.
Hope this helps. Bud

I need a firmware upgrade for Floureon H.264 DVR. Can't access cameras over internet anymore and been told this is problem.

it may be but then again your ip addresses may have changed. i have that happen now and then try this site to locate you cameras and then go in and uncheck the dhcp and use static ip addresses.
or maybe this site i think this is it but can't open in on my chromebook but it should be a utility that searches for you cameras and then you can assign them ports and ip addresses. good luck

EOC-3220 connects but no internet access

What are you using for Internet connects? do you have the Access point connected to a Router. or is it connected to the Cable or DSL modem. I will need more information to complete this. If you have a router is is set to give an IP address or do you have a static IP? If it is set to give a Dynamic ip change the access point to recieve ip address from router and same with computer. If your connected directly to the Modem with the access point and you only have one IP address it will be used by the access point and not allow the computer to connect.
for more help please provide your internet (DSL, T1, CABLE) if you have router,  how it provides IP, and how access point is connected to it.

I cannot record from the Network camera ip7134

Hi, Need more details but you must know most IP cameras doesn't have a built in memory card so you must use software on your computers (try BING or google it) for downloading the software, and must know this software may works just in time when built in camera configurations settings properly done, (try to config it with finding its ip address in user manual and use it in internet explorer address bar.
Please consider it, this solution may help you only if you have enough information about how to set up IP cameras. if not try to ask some near expert.
best regards

Conect webcams on a local network to a website

I presume that you mean "from a web site" that the web site is hosted somewhere out on the greater internet.... The problem that you are encountering is probably related to NAT (Network address translation). The "In" side of a router, is typically a "private network" there are pre-assigned number groups for these - a common one is in the 192.168.x.x range. Problem is that the "outside" of your Netopia router will be dependent on your ISP< and unless you are paying them extra for a static IP address, is likely to change every time you reboot - or sometimes they bump them every 24 hours. So, first thing is get a dynamic DNS Entry - is one supplier - I think you can get one address for free from them, pay for more.. YOu set up something like on their site, and set up dyndns support in the netopia router... Then you want to open the specific port on your router, to go to the internal IP Address of your camera. (YOu mention Multiple Cameras - depends on the Camera you may have to go for multiple dyndns (one for each...) ).

I am a little confused/concerned about the second router "tier" - if you have the Belkin configure as an Access Point only, all good, if you are trying to run it as a router behind a router, it will probably never work - double nat-ting" is a no no with most consumer Routers. Simple solution is to tap from Netopia lan side to Belkin Lan side (rather than Belkin Wan Side)

Lost ip address

They most likely mean serial number.
An IP address is issued by a router and can change from time to time when you connect to the router.

Hello, I've followed the steps to set up my tv-ip100(w)-n trendnet camera, but when I open the setup, the camera can't be found to run the wizard. any ideas? I've tried turning off windows firewall,...

I need you to plug it back in using the Ethernet connection.

You will need to change the ip address on your lan adapter.

When you plug the Ethernet cable into your computer there should be two little computers that popup on the lower right hand corner of your screen. You need to right click the computers then select (STATUS), (PROPERTIES), (INTERNET PROTOCOL TCP/IP), (SELECT THE BUBBLE THAT SAYS (USE THE FOLLOWING IP ADDRESS). THEN TYPE THE FOLLOWING:

That's it your in if you need help with the setup let me know.

When you have completed the setup of the camera you will need to go back into the network adapter setting and select the (OBTAIN ADDRESS AUTOMATICALLY BUBBLE) in order to get back on your local network.

Network routing problem with Axis Camera's

They would need to be on different TCP or UDP port numbers ... in order to access them from the Internet. I'm guestimating that on the LAN you can access all of them because they are on different RFC1918 IP Addresses (e.g., 20, 30) but same port number (e.g. port 80 for web.)

Once you hop through NAT to get to the Internet you now only have one IP Address. The real Internet IP Address. So now you have to have different port numbers for 2 or more cameras. For example use:

#1 port 80
#2 port 8080
#3 port 8081
#4 port 8082

How about that?

And you will have to forward each of those ports to the correct ip address for the correct camera.
