When I turn the tv on it goes straight to DIGITAL TV channel on the Setup screen and it keeps stuck on this screen. I dont have the remote control. How do I do to access the HDMI channels or do a hard reset on the tv if necessary?
Allow the tv to go through the scan make sure there's an aerial pluged in or a vcr playing a tape if you can do that. In most cases when you get this on a TV it needs to find at least 1 channel on analogue or digital and store it in. also make sure there are no buttons jammed on.

Your TV is in Showroom Mode - to change:
Menu>Picture>Mode>Power up>Home
Then go back and autosearch channels.

do a reset in the service menu the turn the tv off and press..
info>menu>mute>power on
and go to the reset option. don't mess with any other setting in this engineer menu.

Solution that worked for me:
Beware: Although the process should be safe, it technically voids your warranty.
Enter the service menu:
1 - turn of tv with remote
2 - press and release in the following order on the remote: Info, Menu, Mute. Make sure remote is pointing at the tv
3 - turn on the tv from the remote
4 - you will see the service menu. using the down arrow on the remote
select the Reset option. Using the right arrow button at this point
will do a hard reset.
5 - Wait a few seconds, turn TV on
6 - you will have to rescan analogue and digital channel but it should be working now.

The problem your describing can be contributed to your cable box. Depending on your cable company there are times when the box has trouble translating the signal to the tv. You tv is operating normally. Suggest to the cable company to switch your box.
