Hello, ive nearly installed my unit but im only getting one speaker playing, the right one. i tested the wires and they're fine, i tried another speaker and no response. i cant find a left and right speaker option. the unit worked well when i took it from the last car and it was new then. does it mean the units blown?

First, check your balance control and make sure that it is centered. Next, you might have anything from a bad output relay or fuse to a bad driver/component...accordianman
SOURCE: DOESN'T WORK AFTER INSTALLING A NEW CAR BATTERY
did you check the fuse on the back of the radio. it should be a small maxi fuse that might be rated any where from 5 to 20 amps. most of the time it might be helpful to unplug the radio harness and re plug it after 1 minute.
SOURCE: Hi , I just brought
checked the voltage difference between the earth wire and the car battery and found that when the head unit was turned up , a voltage difference of up to 3 volts before the unit would cut out. Onec the unit cuts out the voltage drop was gone, until it rebots and trys to make sound again. It seemed to happen at volume settings of around 17-25. So all i needed to do to fix it was run a heavyer earth wire. The units obviously have a low voltage cut out, although it only cuts out for about .5 of a second or less.
SOURCE: left channel not working
Hi,
Thanks, yesterday i tried changing the speakers from right to left, the problem still remained on the speaker getting connected to the right channel. Later i pulled out the speaker wires from the reciver's end for the right channel, cut them and pulled out new strings from the insulation, twisted them and inserted, the speaker is working fine, though not 100% but close to left channel. I guess the problem was old strings in the wire which had got over twisted and were not parallel to each other.
regards
