Problem for Sony XM-2200GTX Car Audio Amplifier

Hooked up to a kicker L712. Worked fine now its in protection mod

Hooked up to a kicker L712. Worked fine now its in protection mode. When i turn it on the light is green for a second then turns red. It wont stay green. What should i do? Is it the circuit board?

perhaps you are pushing the amp to hard check that the gain control knob is not turned all the way up. This will cause the amp to overheat. If not that check all of the wiring to the amp for a possible short.
