Maybe the vent chamber is plugged (considering you have kept the filter clean) Pull the filter out, and look down in the unit for excess lint. You may have to move the dryer to clean it all out.

The belt is still attached to the transmission right?? It sounds like the brakes may be stuck. Or are both belts off and the motor still trips out?

Dryer will heat and spin. After a few minutes it stops. Try to push to start button and nothing happens. I wait about 20 minutes and it will start again. What is the problem ?

Mine was doing the same. I got a bit of a rattle noise in the timer when I'd try to restart it though. First I unplugged the dryer, I took the control head off, then I took the timer out, and opened it up. Found that 2 of the copper contacts were covered in black soot and had a little corrosion on them. I took some fine grit sandpaper and sanded the contact only till they were smooth and clean. I only did this a short while ago but seems to be working so far. It hasn't prematurely shut off and the timer is turning again.

I have a whirlpool dryer, model number lgt6634dq0. The timmer does not stop after the drying cycle has ended. My guest it might be the timer. After the dryer has finished it's cycle I can hear the timer...

HI. The timer will be the culprit here. The timer motor is damaged, and the cogs seem to be worn, as well. I recommend replacing this failed timer mechanism. Once replaced, the unit will operate correctly.

Dryer times out after just a few minutes on both the moisture sensor and timed dry. The timer and temperature sensors have been replaced.

Disconnect your venting and pull dryer out 3 ft. from wall. Test to see if the same problem happens. If it works fine then you have venting problems. Does this have a thermistor? If it does then change it.

Dryer shuts off after 10 minutes. timer has been replaced. What is the next step in troubleshooting this problem?

Check the high limit thermostat. if its damaged, it will allow the dryer to become way to hot, tripping the shut off. check the door switch as well. if its faulty, it will shut off the dryer periodically.
