I have samsung air conditioner, 1.5 ton split. For last couple of days I have noticed ice formation. which finally falls as water when compresor stops. why does it happen? what's the solution.

the water comes from the coil, start there make sure there is no obstruction coming out to your condensate line and make sure its properly pitched.

SANYO SPLIT TYPE AIR CONDITIONER LEAKING

The leakage is probably from condensation and there should be some sort of drain for it. You should check to see if it is clogged or partially clogged. Also since you say it does it when it hasn't operated for a while you may want to check out where the lines pass through the wall and make sure that it is sealed up there so you don't get leakage from out side.

Samsung 1.5 ton slpit AC.the out door unit is very noisy

Check to see if the noise is coming from the fan, could be bad bearings. Replace the fan motor if that is the case. If the noise is coming from the compressor, the only other place besides the fan, then your compressor has some issues and will probably stop working soon, maybe line up for a replacement before you are left with a hot house.

i believe you have a high pressure switch on your condenser that is going bad .it is a switch that has two red wires connected to it inside your outside unit

Draim pans do get dirty and partialy block drain pan. If possible take a shop vac and gently **** out the drain line. This will pull the restriction out of the line and help clean drain pan. Rusty

I am also experiencing the same problem with my 1.5 T , 2 yr old split ac.Additionally the indoor unit is making noise like cracking of ice or plastic whenever the compressor is tripped or restarted.

Insert a wire from its drain to inside if it open then ok other wise take technician it will open cover of indoor unit and clean its drain because it bllocked.
