Question about RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8100
Power button does not work. How to use any other button to turn my TX on.
Under the settings you can have it turn on when you push the Home button for example.

I read somewhere that the power button is actually welded to the motherboard in the TX. I rarely use my power button for that reason. I just touch one of the buttons at the bottom and mine comes on and I let it go off automatically in 30 seconds that I have it set for if I don't need it right away.

1) try a soft reset
2) If that doesn't work, you must go to www.freewarepalm.com to find a power hard button replacer.
Pd: my unit has random power button malfunctions too.
