Dyson troubleshooting

First check the reset button on the power nozzle assembly. If that does not help it might be the switch in the handle, the switch that activates the brush bar when you release the handle or the connection between the vacuum itself and the power nozzle. If all these check out ok it could be the motor in The power nozzle assembly needs service or replacement.

My Diamondback Team Grip bicycle grips I just bought have a plastic end cap with screw and other small part, how does this end cap go on? No instructions came with the packaging.

The small part is most likely a star nut chriscanhelp_0.jpgThis pic is proper orientation Top = Top

If so you must install this in the end of the handle bar with a hammer. First put the screw into the top of the nut and line the nut up with the open end of the haldle bar. Lightly tap the nut into the end of the bar until the screw head is ammost flush with the end of the bar. Remove the screw with allen wrenches, install grips, put screw through plastic end cap and thresd into star nut inside the bar.

Hope this helps.

The only thing I can see going wrong is the wrong star nut for your diametre of handle bar.

Assembly is as follows: Star nut first into bar,

How do I install a new Handle/Latch assembly on the door of a Whirlpool LHW0050PQ 4 Wash Machine...have to remove present one as broken---pull handle door catch does not release---have to release putting a...

I had to replace part No 8182408 - the washing machine door handle. There is a plastic bar in the middle of the assembly that broke because the door was opened too hard.

There are two springs, the latch, and the plastic piece that brings it all together. The smaller spring is the key, call it the L spring. It is shaped like an L and goes around the ends of the latch. The other spring is the larger and straight and goes around the tops of the plastic piece. The straight spring goes in with the crossbar facing on the outside of the washer. The latch with the L spring fits in between the plastic crossbar with the U shaped end pressing against the latches inside bar. The antenna of the L spring needs to wrap around the plastic bar and fit inside the straight spring bar. This applies pressure on the latch to stay closed. When the handle is pulled, it releases the pressure and allows you to open the door. The Metal bar is used to hold all the pieces together and once you have the alignment right, put it back into the door with the straight spring antenna tucked in the spots on the door, as well as the metal bar ends. Screw in the two spots that holds the assembly in place and you will be set. The door should open and shut easily.

We purchased a Radio Flyer Stroll and Go but during assembly the front wheel was put on but was put on 90 degrees the wrong way. We are not able to get the wheel off so we can correct the wheel.

Where you inserted the handle bars into the bearing assembly on the frame there is a fork clamp you had to tighten to secure the handle bars and front fork. Loosen this and you should be able to disassemble the front end. While reassembling be sure the you line up the notches on the fork with the grooves in the bearing assembly and that the handle bars are properly aligned before tightening the fork clamp.

How doe the band on my chain break attach to my chainsaw mine is broken and i do not know how to install it. or how to get the clutch off so i can replace it

It can be a little tricky!

If you are referring to chain break band

Tools you will need:
1/2 Socket (to remove bar nuts)
T25(torq) or you can use a Flathead screw driver but is a little harder.

Remove 2 bar nuts,Clutch cover, bar, chain, 2 screws on black bar handle right behind clutch cover(this is needed because there is a hidden screw there for the chain break) You will need a new chain brake (my guess is that it is part # 530071893 aprox $15) but you will want to verify that with your model number.

You should see the chain break assembly, 3 - T25 screws are visible after the clutch cover is removed(note sometimes you have to clean saw dust to make screw head visible) the other T25 screw is hidden under the black bar handle. Once you remove all 4 screws on the chain brake you will be able to pull it off.

Installing the new one is the tricky part because if it is set(or break is on) you will have a hard time putting it on.One of the easiest ways is to focus on it near the muffler you will see that a metal 3 pronged gear fits into the plastic part of the chain break handle.and if the band is too tight to fit over the clutch drum you will have to carefully reset it by applying pressure onto the area that has the 3 pronged gear and chain break handle make sure that the handle is pushed forward all the way while you apply pressure then slowly pull chain break handle back till you hear a "snap" this resets the chain brake spring and the band should now fit over the clutch drum. Now, proceed with putting back together 4 chain brake assembly screws,2 handle screws, and bar, chain, clutch cover, and 2 bar nuts.

Please note it is important that you apply quite a bit of pressure onto chain break area where metal (3 pronged) gear fits into handle while resetting or when you reset it the metal part can cut into and damage the plastic piece in the chain break handle.

You can see a breakdown here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Poulan-Parts/Chainsaw-Parts/Model-P4018WT/1324/1503220/P0506041/00002?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=P4018WT

Hope this helps!

We accidently had the door shut on my friends 95 fork truck, and the keys were still in ignition. We had to break the ventglass window, how do we replace that? window

1st. Remove door trim panel by removing the screw retaining the armrest section of the trim panel to the door inner panel and remove armrest.
2nd. Remove the screw retaining inside door handle and remove the handle.
3rd. On vehicles with manual operated window cranks remove the screws retaining the crank, then remove the crank and washer.
4.th On vehicles with power windows, remove the power window switch panel by inserting a thin blade screwdriver between the bezel abd the trim panel, at either side of the bezel. Then carefully pry the bezel from the trim panel and the housing assembly will snap out. Remove the retaining screws from the bottom side of the connector and remove the switch assembly from the connector.
5th Remove door lock control knob on models rquiped with.
6th On models with power door locks, remove the switch housing assembly from the panel by inserting thin blade screwdriver into the spring tab slot located at the top and bottom of the switch housing. Apply pressure and the assembly will pop out. Disconnect the housing from the wirring assembly connector by separating the lock fingers.

12th Tilt the vent window and the division bar assembly toward rear of the door. Carefully guide the assembly up and out of the door.
13th. Remove the two upper pivot-to-vent frame screws.
14th. Remove the retaining nut and tension spring from the vent vindow lower oivot.
15. Separate the vent glass retainer and the pivot stops from the vent frame and weatherstripping assembly.
16th. Installation is reverse of the removal procedure. The pivot tension spring should be adjusted so the vent will remain open at higway speeds. Be sure the front door window spacer is in place when installing the vent window and division bar assembly.

I know it is hard to picture it but this is best I can explain with out picture.

Exterior rear door handle on Honda Accord 2001

To Remove Door Panel on 2001 Honda Accord:

A: To remove the plastic piece with the door lock button and door handle connected to it:

1- Remove the screw in the middle located behind a plastic cover button
2- Push (slide) the whole assembly Forward (toward front of car)
Besides the screw, it is held in place by 3 hooks on the backside that hook into holes in the metal door frame
3- Now unhook handle from small metal bar going through door by pushing (toward door) plastic clip (blue?) off of the bar, then the bar will come out of the clip hole, thus releasing the handle.
4- Depress little grey button /bar (purple painted on it)on elec. connector to seperate connector, thus releasing door lock switch

Now the whole assembly (metal handle, door lock switch, and plastic piece) will come off door panel

B: The door is held on by 2-screws, 7-plastic snaps/plugs, and 1-plastic plug.

The screws are located: bottom of hand hold and the other behind the handle, both covered by little covers that have to be pryed off to access the screws.(hint: the screw with the built in spacer goes behind the handle when you are trying to reinstall)
The 7-plastic snaps: 3 across bottom and 2 on each side. Not visible, they are mounted to the inside of the panel.
The 1-plastic plug is visible at the upper front of the panel and is the same color as the surrounding trim

C: Take off the big plastic triangle piece above the door panel and behind the mirror. Pull/pry off. It has 2 snaps holding it on. one near bottom and one near the front.

D: Light lens prys off from bottom. Unscrew (1/4 turn) the light assembly with bulb still intact from backside of panel

E: Remove the Hand-Hold/window switch assembly:
