Why will my dryer not start, but makes a clicking sound?

If the motor runs and the drum doesn't turn the belt may be worn or broken...or you may have a faulty idler

I have an electric Ge Performance Wizard Dryer and on the button panel to space over the start button is broken.

get it fixed. it might not be a easy job as electronics are a problem if you do something wrong, it would make something else break. OR just deal with it if it works fine, but a button broken...life isn't perfect.

GE Dryer GEW9200LW. Panel works, door is closed fully, drum will turn manually. When "Start" button is pushed, the machine clicks, but drum will not turn.

You may have a broken belt that connects the drum to the dryer. Watch this video,
