Cuisinart Processor workbowl lid fitting

I have a DLC-7 Cuisinart Food Processor from about 1981. I need to know if a bowl lid with the model # DLC017b will fit it. It is a 14 cup workbowl I believe. Also,if you can tell me, are there other workbowl lid model #s that will fit a DLC-7?

Yes, it will fit. There is also a DLC016B that will fit, but it does not have the feed tube. It's just a flat cover.

I have a vintage Cuisinart DLC 8M processor. I need to replace the work bowl and have found a DLC 8F online. Would the work bowl from the 8F fit my 8M?

The DLC-8F bowl will not work for the DLC-8M, as I understand the parts list for the 11 cup food processors. However, this site, https://www.kitchenworksinc.com/cuisinart-dlc-8-4-piece-tritan-bowl-kit/ , has a work bowl for the DLC-8 food processor. The bowl fits all models of DLC-8 except the DLC-8E and DLC-8F. The link for the work bowl alone is https://www.kitchenworksinc.com/cuisinart-dlc-8-tritan-workbowl/ .

I hope this helps.

My food processor light is on but i need to press and hold the black button please help

Use a ball-point pen to depress the button - your finger simply will not do.

This is only to test the motor.

Once it makes the proper sound, you are ready to assemble the workbowl - once properly assembled, the workbowl, lid, and pusher itself will push the button for you. On the DLC-2011, the proper assembly is for the work bowl handle to be locked toward the front of the processor. If you are still having trouble or you have a model other than the DLC-2011, call Cuisinart at 1-800-726-0190 and they will help you with the assembly.

Need a instruction book or manual for cuisinart 7 cup food proces

All manuals for models made in last few years are on Cuisinart website.

Removing a Cuisinart Food Processor Work Bowl
You have to remove the pusher first by twisting it off. Then press the sides of the pusher sleeve inward and slide the sleeve up and out of place. Then twist off the lid - all twisting on these food processors works either clockwise or counterlcokwise - not both. Then twist the work bowl to the left (clockwise). Voila!

Installing Cuisinart Sleeve/Sheath for DLC -7EMotor Shaft Cover

I have a DLC 7 pro circa 1982 - just replaced the sheath. First - remove old sheath - I found that using a plumbers pipe cutter to cut old sheath off in sections then pulling each section off with pliers works great. Make sure ALL the plastic comes off the metal shaft - as well as the brass ring portion of the sheath.

Next use a sharpie marker to mark the the "flat" side of the shealth = you must look inside the sheath, find the 2 "nubs" that form a "flat" side. These nubs must line up perfectly with the flat side of the shaft - mark the base of the shaft as well so you can more easily line up the flat of the sheath with the flat side of the shaft (and no, the flat outer sides of the the sheath do not match up with the flat inside section of the sheath - that would make life too easy!)

Press the new sheath on with your hand as far as it goes - should go down to about 1 inch from the base.

Now you need a hammer, piece of 2 x4 wood and brute strenght! (keep in mind that once you hammer it - even once - it will NOT come off) Put the 2" side of the wood against the top of the sheath - Use a LOT of force to hammer the sheath all the way down. will probably take 3 - 5 good strikes. It will take much more force than you think you should need to use. Make sure the base of shaft is as far down as possible - if it rubs against the workbowl while spinning it will fuse to the bowl! Good luck! -

I have a cusinart pro classic, went to use it yesterday, filled it and turned in on, got nothing. i tried a different plug and still nothing. it is not even making a sound.

It usually goes something like this, with minor variations depending on model number:
1. Remove the work bowl completely from the base
2. Plug the food processor in and turn it on
3. Use a pen to depress the dark grey/black button on the base – if it spins, proceed
4. Put the work bowl on the base with the handle facing the front of the food processor – slide the work bowl until it locks - the white tabs show in the openings on the bottom of either side of the workbowl
5. Place the lid on the workbowl with the tab slightly left of the center of the workbowl handle – slide the lid counterclockwise until it won’t slide any more
6. Place the pusher sleeve in the feeder tube of the lid with the lock facing the front of the food processor (may vary depending on model)
7. Slide the lock to the right into the locked position
The food processor should now work

I have a very old cuisinart food processor

Unfortunately the CHM models no longer have replacement parts. If the workbowl parts says something like DLC-7 or DLC-10, then you can call Cuisinart and get replacement parts. CHM models would require finding somthing on eBay.

Brand NEw DLC-8 not working.

If a part of the work bowl is damaged, it will not properly trigger the motor. Replace the workbowl (original DLC-8 parts not available, but an expensive replacement workbowl is available).
