Question about Heating & Cooling

Defective heater I have a marvin quartz heater. I have a 5460 model that they sent 2/05/07. The heater never did shut off correctly and now the thermostat and dial are broke. the company does not make marvin heaters or replace them anymore. What do I do about my 3 yr. warranty?

The whole company (Marvin Manufacturing) is going out of business in a few weeks. The lady told me their chinese manufacturer went out, and it put them out of business. Nice huh? The company says they will send me a few dollars, but not enough to cover the cost of a new heater. Just though I'd let you know. Thanks

I think you are stuck but if you look around maybe you can find a universal control for your heater.

Marvin Quartz heater element

Very simple to install the replacement element. Insert one end of the element into the bottom receptacle on either side, press the element down (it's spring-loaded), then slide the top of the element into the center opening of the top receptacle, push to appropriate side (the side of receptacle, same as the bottom), then release. Then do the same with the other element (if both are out).
