Question about GE 28112EE2 Cordless Phone
I have the SAME problem - How do you Stop the Blue Blinking?
The VMWI indicator is blinking and the message is showing on the phone screen that I have a message. The instruction manual doesn't tell me how to retrieve the message, or how to delete it causing it to STOP blinking. Please help.

Press the mute/program button, then press the caller ID-volume button to select handset setup. Next press caller ID-volume until you get to Default settings. Use the caller ID-volume button to select 1yes. This will return the phone to the factory settings and for took care of the blinking blue light, however you will loose any custom setting or numbers you entered.

I had the same problem and I called my service provider and I have auto enrolled in the voice mail sevice without my knowledge - they gave me a number to call and I put in a password - I called this and deleted the messages and walah, the blue light is gone.

All you need to do is call your phone service provider and they can deactivate the voice mail service.
